Welcome to Respond With Care. This ministry was birthed in a local church by accepting the challenge of Jesus’ words in Matthew 25, “Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? . . . Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. (37, 39-40) Our mission is simple, to serve the people of the Soddy Daisy and Hixson, Tennessee communities in the name and spirit of Jesus Christ. Our vision is plain, to create a culture that cares for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of those in our community. This desire comes with a realization that none of this can be done without the most important asset a community has, its people.
The needs in our community can seem overwhelming: hungry children, elderly who are forgotten, single parents who do not know where to turn, families that are close to losing everything, teen pregnancy, those who struggle with addiction to drugs and alcohol, and the list goes on. No doubt that these issues are great, but our God is greater and we believe that these obstacles can be overcome by a community that genuinely cares for each other out of their love for Christ!
The goal of this site is to bring awareness to the struggles in our community and form connections with those who need help and others who want to help. Take a few minutes to look around and please share this link with others. Together we can make a difference.
